Andrew Morris is a regulatory strategist with end-to-end experience across Canada’s AML, financial-crime, and compliance landscape.
He has served as a former IIROC (CIRO) examiner, held executive accountability as Chief Compliance Officer and enterprise AML program owner, and led and defended programs under FINTRAC, IIROC, OSC, OSFI, and independent audits.
Andrew's experience spans complex, multi-entity environments across Securities Dealers, MSBs, Trust & Loan Companies, Insurance, Real Estate, Wealth Management. and has architected compliance programs within multiple industries, including the design and implementation of Canada’s first AML/ATF program in the armoured-car sector, from regulatory interpretation through national rollout and board-level governance.
In addition to his advisory work, Andrew serves as Faculty at Osgoode Professional Development, teaching in the Certificate in Regulatory Compliance and Legal Risk Management, and represents industry through Finance Canada and FINTRAC advisory forums, contributing to the evolution of Canada’s AML framework.
